La GRIA Winery - Salamiou Village
Our winery is located in the beautiful village of Salamiou. It was established on the 6th of August 1991, although the winemaking history of the area is more than a century old
The name was inspired by a part of the mountain close to the Winery called ‘’LAGRIA’’ as an ode to the village where the cousins grew up. While the name is written in English at the moment, until 2015 it was written in Greek, “ΛΑΚΡΙΑ”.

Current release
White Dry
Our white dry 2023 is produced by handpicked Mavro and Xynisteri grapes that come from a single vineyard in Panayia Village at an altitude of 900m and a single vineyard in Salamiou at an altitude of 800m.
A pale lemon colour that leads to a smooth nose of light rose, red fruits and citrus with hints of unripe peach and stone fruits. It is a crisp and dry wine of green and red apples and a finish of tropical and herbal notes.
Medium body with medium complex and unique nose.

Lagria Winery
Our Vision
Lagria Winery was started as a small family business by three founding cousins. Its current premises are 900m2 with plans of expanding in the future. Their vision was and still is to ‘’produce wines of the highest quality possible by keeping them pure from chemicals and to become the brand of choice for wine lovers in Cyprus and abroad.’’
Salamiou Village
Microclimate
Salamiou and the surrounding areas are known for their microclimate, which makes it ideal for growing grapes. Due to the cold winds from higher altitudes, such as Troodos, they benefit from colder nights and little humidity. This allows the vineyards to have healthier grapes, usually without pesticides. Also, grow grapes with more concentrated sugars and therefore, more flavor.
Lagria Winery
Region/Salamiou
Salamiou is 35km northeast of Paphos at a height of 700m. The area surrounding the winery and the village’s vineyards is an untapped environmental treasure within the Natura 2000 selected region.
